The Locker Experiment


On August 31, 2010 we cut the ribbon in Hallsville to mark the addition of the Library-To-Go pilot project. One year later, the numbers show that Library-To-Go proved to be a winner with use exceeding our expectations. Read more »

Interview With Columbia Library District Board Member MaryEllen Seivert

MaryEllen Seivert

MaryEllen Seivert is a member of the Columbia Library District Board. She has spent almost a quarter of her life serving on the library board. Professionally, she taught for years in the school of Information Science and Learning Technologies at MU. Though she’s formally retired, she still works part-time as a research consultant for the University of Missouri Libraries. Read more »

DBRL Librarian Honored With Award

Retired DBRL librarian Marilyn McLeod was presented with the Missouri Library Association Meritorious Achievement Award at the annual MLA conference on October 6 in Kansas City. She worked at DBRL for 25 years before retiring in May 2011. Read more »
