In the original Carnegie portion of the building, the former entrance vestibule hasbeen refurbished with a tri-color paint job, and the ceiling has been raised to reveal the full height of the old windows.

Looking east from the Reference Desk, there will be a reading lounge in the center of the original part of the building, amidst the fiction collection.

The Reference Desk is on the upper
level between the original Carnegie portion
of the building and the 1980s addition.
These shelves will hold reference and nonfiction
books and biographies.

Multicolored tile brightens the entrance lobby. This lower floor houses the Check-Out Desk, the children’s collection and the Friends Room.

The windows behind the Reference Desk, that were interior doors in the original 1911 building, look into the computer center. The computer center will house nine Internet computers.

The Friends Room on the lower floor can now be divided into two smaller meeting rooms if necessary and has a remodeled kitchen in the north corner.
