Architects

The New York architecture firm Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates, founded in 1967, has an international reputation for design of public libraries and public buildings. Malcolm Holzman is the design partner, who leads the design process for the Columbia Public Library.

Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer's public library projects demonstrate a wide range of styles and sizes from the 22,500 square-foot Russell Library in Middletown, Connecticut to the 539,000 square-foot Los Angeles Public Library. The firm is currently working on a 134,000 square-feet renovation and expansion of 56,000 square-feet to the public library in Savannah, Georgia.

The Arcturis architectural firm, based in St. Louis, is working as the associate architect for this project.

Engineers

Heideman and Associates of St. Louis is providing the engineering services for this project. This firm provided the engineering services for the new Lincoln University Library as well as for several St. Louis branch libraries. Heideman and Associates have also provided engineering services for several projects on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus.

General Contractor

KCI Construction Company is the general contractor for our building project. Working out of St. Louis and Lebanon, Missouri, KCI has worked on projects as diverse and well known as new bridge construction on I-70, several buildings on the University of Missouri St. Louis Campus, the St. Louis Science Center, and the Living World Exhibit at the St. Louis Zoo.
