Using DNA in Genealogical Research
Columbia Public Library, Friends Room

Many people are now submitting DNA to be tested for genealogical purposes. Professional genealogist Debbie Furnell will discuss the types of DNA tests currently possible and how to apply the results to genealogical research. She'll share a case study demonstrating how the results can illuminate a family's history. Debbie serves as the second vice-president of the Missouri State Genealogical Association and volunteers at the Family History Center in Columbia.
