Heavy Medal: Mock Newbery Awards

We're staging our own mock Newbery awards! Have a voice in selecting our own winner of the 2014 John Newbery Medal. At these fun sessions, you'll discuss Newbery finalists and defend the book you feel is the “Heavy Medalist” of the year. Library staff will facilitate along with Nancy Baumann, a local educator and previous Newbery committee member. Sessions will be held Wednesdays on Sept. 10, Oct. 1, 15, 29, Nov. 5, 19, Dec. 3, 17. Kids in grades 4-8. Registration begins Tuesday, September 2.

Toddler Time

"Pete the Cat" Party

From groovy buttons to cool shoes, Pete the Cat entertains us when he loses his things, but not his cool. Does Pete cry? Goodness no! Join us for fun and games to celebrate our favorite cool cat. Ages 4 and older. Registration begins Friday, September 19.
