Self-Guided Computer Tutorials
Callaway County Public Library, Friends Room

Learn at your own pace with these self-guided tutorials on the Windows operating system for beginners and intermediate users. An instructor will be present to get you started and answer questions. Choose from Keyboarding, Mouse Tutorial, Basic Skills, Computer Basics, Files and Folders, Exploring the Web, Basic or Intermediate Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Presentations. Please bring headphones or purchase a set at the library.

Toddler Time

Enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays, flannelboards and big books. Parental participation is a must. Kids up to age 2 1/2 (30 mos.) walking confidently on their own.

Selling Online

In this intro class, learn the basics of selling your stuff on three popular websites–eBay, an auction site; Craigslist, a classified ad site; and Etsy, a marketplace for handmade and vintage items. Basic computer skills required. Registration begins Thursday, November 20.

Bring a brown bag lunch and join us to discuss “A Redbird Christmas” by Fannie Flagg. Faced with a terminal diagnosis, Oswald T. Campbell escapes gloomy Chicago to spend what he believes will be his last Christmas in the warm and welcoming town of Lost River, Alabama. A string of colorful characters fill Oswald’s days and warm his heart, including a host of elder women seeking an eligible man, a postman who delivers the mail by boat and Jack, a little redbird the town has adopted.

Coping With Holiday Stress

LaDonna Zimmerman, team leader for the New Outlook Program for Behavior and Mood Self-Management at the Fulton State Hospital, will give you insights on what stress triggers to watch for during the busy holiday season and how to cope with stress levels. Registration begins Monday, November 17.
