AARP volunteers offer free, confidential help with income taxes and Missouri Property Tax Credits to people with middle to low incomes, giving special attention to those aged 60 and older.
Enjoy big books, stories, songs and puppets. Ages 2 1/2 (30 mos.) to 5 with a parent.
Bring your lunch and join us to discuss "The Invention of Wings" by Sue Monk Kidd, a historical novel that retells the story of abolitionist Sarah Grimke and a woman who was her slave from childhood.
This month's sale features books on gardening, travel and nature and books with Missouri connections. First Wednesday sales offer some of the very best books that have been donated to the Friends. The Friends also conduct sales every Wednesday in the library lobby noon-3 p.m, and every Saturday 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. All proceeds go to support library services.
On board, you'll find books, music, DVDs and other services for all ages. You can browse several thousand titles or pick up items you've requested online or over the phone.
