AARP Free Tax Aide

AARP volunteers offer free, confidential help with income taxes and Missouri Property Tax Credits to people with middle to low incomes, giving special attention to those aged 60 and older.

Bring your lunch and join us to discuss "The Invention of Wings" by Sue Monk Kidd, a historical novel that retells the story of abolitionist Sarah Grimke and a woman who was her slave from childhood.

First Wednesday Book Sale

This month's sale features gardening, travel and nature books. First Wednesday sales offer some of the very best books that have been donated to the Friends. The Friends also conduct sales every Wednesday in the library lobby noon-3 p.m, and every Saturday 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. All proceeds go to support library services.

Learn how to adjust text size, mouse pointers and screen resolution to best suit your eyes. Also, find out about software that makes reading on your computer easier and removes annoying ads. Bringing your Windows laptop is optional. Registration begins Wednesday, January 20.

Stop by with questions about using your Apple computer, iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. Staff can answer your questions with our equipment, or you may bring your laptop or device.
