Summer Reading Begins

Challenge yourself this summer when you sign up beginning today for Library Summer Reading. This year's theme is "On Your Mark, Get Set, Read!" We'll have booklists and activities all about getting active, games, sports and challenges of all sorts. Summer Reading is for everyone from babies and toddlers through kids, teens and adults. First Wednesday Book Sale
Columbia Public Library, Friends Room

This month's big sale will feature cookbooks. First Wednesday sales offer some of the very best books that have been donated to the Friends. The Friends also conduct sales every Wednesday in the library lobby noon-3 p.m, and every Saturday 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. All proceeds go to support library services.

Self-Guided Computer Tutorials
Callaway County Public Library, Friends Room

Learn at your own pace with these self-guided tutorials on the Windows operating system for beginners and intermediate users. An instructor will get you started and answer questions. Choose from Keyboarding, Mouse Tutorial, Basic Skills, Computer Basics, Files and Folders, Exploring the Web, Basic or Intermediate Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Presentations. Please bring headphones or purchase a set at the library.

Drop-in Apple Help
Columbia Public Library, Studio

Stop by with questions about using your Apple computer, iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. Staff can answer your questions with our equipment, or you may bring your laptop or device.

Drop-in Internet and Computer Assistance

During these unstructured sessions, use library computers to apply for a job, write a résumé, set up an email account, get help navigating the internet, study for a test with "Learning Express Library" or sharpen your computer skills with our excellent self-guided tutorials.
