The City of Columbia's Lunch in the Park program provides enrichment, recreation and a daily lunch to children each summer. The bookmobile will visit every Monday, June 13-August 1 (except July 4). Lunches are funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the food program is carried out in a partnership between the City's Health Department and Voluntary Action Center.

If you like Tom Clancy or enjoy a good political/military thriller, you will want to read "Rogue Patriot." The first in a new series by local author, Mike Trial, it explores the world of private military contractors, the US Navy and an imminent nuclear strike by North Korea. Trial is a retired engineer and has lived & worked all over the world, which is evident in his ability to create vivid settings for his plots. Copies will be available for purchase and signing.
