On board, you'll find books, music, DVDs and other services for all ages. You can browse several thousand titles or pick up items you've requested online or over the phone.
During these unstructured sessions, use library computers to apply for a job, write a résumé, set up an email account, get help navigating the internet, study for a test with "Learning Express Library" or sharpen your computer skills with our excellent self-guided tutorials. Choose from Keyboarding, Mouse Tutorial, Basic Skills, Computer Basics, Files and Folders, Exploring the Web, Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Presentations. For the tutorials, please bring headphones or purchase a set at the library.
The Friends hold sales in the library lobby every Wednesday noon-3 p.m. and every Saturday 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. All proceeds support library services.
At this workshop, children play games, sing, dance and act out books. Presented by TRYPS, Columbia's professional theater group for young audiences. Ages 3-8.
MU's Summer Rep Theatre brings us summer in the South, this year. Come hear William Palmer talk about Mark Twain and Laura Eason's adaptation of "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer." Carrie Winship will explore Beth Henley's "Crimes of the Heart," set in Mississippi, and Jennie Pardoe will prepare you for the hilarious Williams, Sears and Howard comedy "Greater Tuna," set in Texas.
