Learn at your own pace with these self-guided tutorials on the Windows operating system for beginners and intermediate users. An instructor will be present to get you started and answer questions. Choose from Keyboarding, Mouse Tutorial, Basic Skills, Computer Basics, Files and Folders, Exploring the Web, Basic or Intermediate Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Presentations. Please bring headphones or purchase a set at the library.
There is a criminal loose in the library! Interpret the clues and help find the culprit by using forensic science. Learn to lift fingerprints, interpret shoe-print casts and create chromatographs, just like real crime scene investigators. Ages 8 and older. Registration begins Tuesday, July 1.
On board, you'll find a full array of library materials and services for all ages. You can browse several thousand titles or pick up materials you've requested online or over the phone.
Take chances, make mistakes and get messy when we celebrate Ms. Frizzle, our favorite Magic School Bus character. We'll play games, make crafts and do experiments. Ages 4 and older with parent.
Interact with family, friends and the world at large by creating a blog. Learn about popular blogging platforms such as WordPress and Blogger, and make your voice known to your community or to anyone on the Internet. To get started with Blogger, an active Gmail account is required. Registration begins Thursday, July 3.
Come by the library and browse a large selection of used books. Hardbacks are $1 and paperbacks are only 50¢! All proceeds benefit library programs and services. You can donate your gently-used books at the library anytime during regular business hours.
