Kids and parents will enjoy stories, songs and simple crafts. Ages 3-5.
Local artist Heinrich Leonhard will help you create a cute little clay animal and make your mark. Drop in any time during this session. Ages 5 and older with an adult.
During these unstructured sessions, use library computers to apply for a job, write a résumé, set up an email account, get help navigating the internet, study for a test with "Learning Express Library" or sharpen your computer skills with our excellent self-guided tutorials. Choose from Keyboarding, Mouse Tutorial, Basic Skills, Computer Basics, Files and Folders, Exploring the Web, Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Presentations. For the tutorials, please bring headphones or purchase a set at the library.
Stop by with questions about using your Apple computer, iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. Staff can answer your questions with our equipment, or you may bring your laptop or device.
Loaded with books and other materials for kids and parents to check out, Bookmobile, Jr. travels to community centers around Columbia.
Learn digital photography basics. We'll talk about cameras, their commonly used buttons and different scene modes. We'll also touch on exposure, composition and the use of flash. Lastly, you'll take some photos and shoot videos. Bring your camera and a fully charged battery. All types of digital cameras welcome. Registration begins Tuesday, July 19.
