Family Story Time

Enjoy big books, stories, songs and puppets. Ages 2 1/2 (30 mos.) to 5 with a parent.

First Wednesday Book Discussion
Callaway County Public Library

Bring your lunch and join us for a discussion of "Mrs. Queen Takes the Train," by William Kuhn. The queen decides to take an unscheduled vacation, causing problems for her royal attendants. They must find her and bring her back before her absence becomes a national scandal.

First Wednesday Book Sale
Columbia Public Library, Friends Room

This month's sale features reference books, textbooks, foreign languages and Missouri Connections. First Wednesday sales offer some of the very best books that have been donated to the Friends. The Friends also conduct sales every Wednesday in the library lobby noon-3 p.m, and every Saturday 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. All proceeds go to support library services.

Library Activities at Summer Food 4 Kids
Columbia, Indian Hills Park, 5009 Aztec Blvd

On board, you'll find books, music, DVDs and other services for all ages. You can browse several thousand titles or pick up items you've requested online or over the phone.

Basic Mac Skills
Columbia Public Library, Studio

Learn the basics of the Mac operating system for desktops and laptops, including the essentials for using your MacBook, iMac or Mac Mini, using Apple's software for Internet browsing, email, music, photos, etc., and customizing your computer. There will be time to answer questions. Bringing your Mac laptop is optional. Registration begins Wednesday, July 22.
