Drawing from newspapers and other archival sources, journalist Rudi Keller has been offering fascinating glimpses of the daily lives of soldiers and civilians during the Civil War in his Columbia Daily Tribune column "150 Years Ago Today." Mr. Keller will talk about how he got started with his research, where he finds his sources and when he'll conclude his column.

The Mid-Missouri Civil War Project (http://law.missouri.edu/bowman/index.html) is a great web resource for local Civil War buffs. Created as "an effort to understand what happened in central Missouri by collecting, organizing, and interpreting the records, writings, and recollections of those who lived here," it reflects the author's research interest in the legal history of Columbia and Boone County.
