Ladies in American History
Southern Boone County Public Library

Presenters Debbie Furnell and Belinda Duke will explore the struggles women faced as they redefined their roles throughout American history and suggest ways to locate female ancestors.

Diversity: Issues and Progress
Columbia Public Library, Friends Room

Noor Azizan-Gardner, chief diversity officer at the University of Missouri will speak about the diversity issues at colleges and universities. She will assess the progress that has been made and the challenges that still face institutions of higher learning. Co-sponsored by the local branch of the American Association of University Women in honor of Women's History Month. Refreshments at 6:30 p.m.
