All three libraries in the Daniel Boone Region offer regularly occurring story times for various ages, that are listed below. We have more programs for families with young children, so be sure to look through our general calendar.

The Beginning Years

Bring your baby, age birth to 24 months, for an evening of songs, rhymes and activities. Parental participation is a must.

2 years

Terrific Twos
Mondays > 10-10:30 a.m. OR 6:30-7 p.m.

Join us for songs, stories and activities for you and your child. Ages 24-36 months. Parental participation is a must.

2-6 years

Spanish/English Story Time
Tuesdays > 6-6:30 p.m. > February 26, March 25, April 22, May 27
Join us for stories, rhymes and more in Spanish and English. Families with children ages 2-6. Cosponsored by University Extension. Venga a la biblioteca para cuentos, rimas, y más en Español e Inglés. Edades 2-6.

3-5 years

Preschool Story Time
Tuesdays > 10-10:30 a.m. OR 6:30-7 p.m.

Bring your preschooler for stories, fingerplays, videos and simple crafts. Ages 3-5. Parental participation is encouraged.

6-10 years

Stories for School Kids
Saturdays > 11-11:45 a.m. > February 9
Join us the second Saturday of each month for stories and activities with seasonal themes. The December theme is Celebrations Around the World; the January theme is Sand, Sun and Stories; and the February theme is Friendship. Ages 6-10.

Rhymes & Rhythms for Pre-walkers

Join us for songs, rhymes, movements and activities for the youngest among us. This program is for babies that are not yet walking confidently on their own. Parental participation is a must.

Rhymes & Rhythms for Walkers
Wednesdays > 6:30-7 p.m. OR 7-7:30 p.m. > March 12, April 2, 16, May 7, 21
Fridays > 9:30-10 a.m. OR 10:30-11 a.m. > March 7, 21, April 4, 18, May 2, 16
Join us for songs, fingerplays, flannelboards and big books just right for walkers. This program is for children younger than 24 months who are walking confidently on their own. Parental participation is a must.

0-24 months

Wee Ones
Wednesdays > 6:30-7 p.m. OR 7-7:30 p.m. > February 13, 27
Join us for an evening of songs, rhymes, movements and activities for ages birth to 24 months old. Parental participation is a must. Due to the popularity of this program, we are offering two back-to-back sessions. Each program will run about 25 minutes; please only attend one session.

2 years

Time for Twos
Thursdays > 9:30-10 a.m. or 10:30-11 a.m.

We will tell stories, sing songs and do activities with you and your 2-year-old.

2-5 years

Family Fun Night

Bring your family for a relaxed evening program. We'll read stories, sing some songs and do an activity. Ages 2-5.

3-5 years

Family Story Time
