Tutoring at the Columbia Public Library

A Way With Words / A Way With Numbers Free Tutoring


  • Could your child benefit from a one-on-one reading or math tutoring session?
  • Does your child need assistance with his/her reading or math homework?
  • Tutors from the University of Missouri-Columbia are available to help!

Just bring your child to the Children's Desk at the Columbia Public Library. The free tutoring is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Sessions last approximately 30 minutes and parents must remain in the building.

Tutoring Hours: Monday-Thursday: 3:30-7:30 p.m.

Ages Served: Students in kindergarten through 7th grade.

NOTE: The last day tutors will be available is Thursday, May 8th. Tutors will return in the fall.

Tutoring is available during most of MU's fall and winter semesters (September through early December; late January through early May). Call the library (573-443-3161) for the most current information on tutoring dates and times.
