Joe Polacco remembers his youth growing up in Brooklyn, New York in a loving and humorous tribute to his mother. "Vina: A Brooklyn Memoir" is a celebration of his wise and generous mother, great Italian food, extended family and others who made up the heart and soul of this old world neighborhood. Polacco is a professor emeritus of biochemistry at the University of Missouri. He has spent most of his life in Missouri, but you can still hear the New York accent from the pages of this memoir. Copies will be available for purchase and signing.
