Filmmakers Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady examine the decline of Detroit and the stalwart residents who remain in the once-thriving city in this month's documentary selection inspired by the One Read book, "The Turner House." Post-film discussion will be led by Arthur Mehrhoff, academic coordinator for the University of Missouri's Museum of Art and Archaeology. In addition to living in Detroit in the early '70s, Dr. Mehrhoff earned his M.A. in urban affairs from Washington University and his Ph.D. in American studies from Saint Louis University. He spent many years working in and teaching about urban housing and neighborhoods. A 2012 True/False Film Fest selection. (90 min.)
