The Story of You: How to Write a Memoir (Even if You Think You Can't Write)

Tuesday, September 19 › 6:30-8 p.m.

Callaway County Public Library, Friends Room

One of life's saddest sentences is "I wish I had asked my grandmother about that." You can be your family's recording angel by preserving your story and the stories you know from your parents or grandparents. Published or not, your memoir will be a treasured and lasting memoir for your family. This workshop is led by Callaway County memoirist Carolyn Paul Branch, author of "Snakes In the Kitchen," "Tangled Vines" and various historical titles. This program complements our One Read novel, "The Turner House," the sprawling tale of a Detroit clan whose matriarch is dying.

Registration: Not required.
