Kidney Health Screening

Saturday, October 7 › 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Columbia Public Library, Friends Room

Are you among the one in three adults at risk for kidney disease, or one of the 96% of people with kidney disease that don’t know they have it? Find out by attending this free screening conducted by the National Kidney Foundation. You can expect an at-risk survey, blood pressure check, body mass index (BMI) measurement, free education materials and, for individuals at risk, an ACR urine test for albumin, an indicator of kidney failure. You'll also have an opportunity to speak with a healthcare professional about the results.

Age 18 and older. Register at or call (913) 262-1551. Walk-ins are also welcome. Medical and general volunteers are needed for this event, too; visit for more information.
