Join us for this annual favorite One Read event as David Lile of KFRU moderates a discussion about "The Turner House" with local experts. Dr. Anand Prahlad, professor and director of creative writing at MU, will talk about black folklore. Joseph Deak, M.A., graduate student in clinical psychology, will discuss the heredity of addiction. Dr. Tashel Bordere, assistant professor of human development and family science, will address dynamics of African-American youth and families. Lorenzo Lawson, executive director of the Youth Empowerment Zone and vice president of the Men's Minority Network, will compare challenges faced by the Turner children to those faced in Columbia's minority communities.
