With a number of natural disasters in the recent news and tornado season just around the corner in Mid-Missouri, now is a good time to work on disaster plans. The planning and preparedness specialist from the Boone County Office of Emergency Management will be here to talk about weather emergencies, earthquake preparedness and lessons from the recent hurricanes and other natural disasters. Learn what you can do to prepare for a natural disaster, and how to make a disaster supply kit. Take home informational handouts, checklists and some basic supplies for your kit. Attendees will have the chance to win a weather radio.
