Tuesday Night Theater: "Art and Craft"

Tuesday, March 13 › 6-7:30 p.m.

Southern Boone County Public Library

Directors Sam Cullman, Jennifer Grausman and co-director Mark Becker tell the story of Mark Landis, an art forger who fooled the art world for decades. He's copied hundreds of pieces, from 15th-century masterpieces to works by Picasso, then donated them to museums across the country. After being caught, Landis, a diagnosed schizophrenic driven to escape "the life of a mental patient," finds ending the con wasn't so simple. "Art and Craft" was recognized at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival, at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam and by the National Board of Review. Shown in collaboration with POV, PBS' award-winning nonfiction film series (www.pbs.org/pov). (2014, 90 minutes)

Registration: Not required.
