This eight-session series will be presented by George Frissell, teacher of comparative world religions, alongside a practitioner or scholar from each different faith each Thursday, January 10-February 28. Each session will put the religion into historical context and cover how its traditions are present in the local community. You'll learn and discuss the following characteristics of each religion: concern for the holy, community, ritual, scripture and ethical code. Presented in partnership with the Columbia Public Schools Social Studies Department and a part of the county-wide Journey Toward Inclusive Excellence initiative.
Adults and teens.
