University of Missouri students have a long history of civil rights activism. This talk will examine some of the early student civil rights activism during the 1950s. Learn about efforts to desegregate the university followed by efforts of students to integrate restaurants, lunch counters and theaters in downtown Columbia. Presented by Mary Beth Brown, Ph.D. candidate at the University of Missouri.
