Socrates Café

Tuesday, April 16 › 7-8:30 p.m.

Columbia Public Library, Conference Room B

How do we distinguish the fake from the real? When should we not trust experts? Can science ground our values? If you enjoy thoughtful discussion, then come try out the Socrates Café, where we think through, examine and discuss philosophical questions in the spirit of Christopher Phillips’ book "Socrates Café: A Fresh Taste of Philosophy." Recent questions discussed include "What are the limits of positive thinking?" and "What is human kindness?" No preparation is required. Just come with questions and an open mind.

Registration: Not required.
