New Downloadable eBook Service Coming in January

The library will begin offering a new downloadable eBook service on January 17, 2011, starting with around 700 adult, teen and children's fiction and nonfiction titles. We will offer classes demonstrating the new service in January and February.
Service Highlights
- The eBooks are checked out through our OverDrive service, downloaded to a computer and then transferred to an e-reader device.
- The books can be read on either Mac or Windows computers.
- Up to 7 titles can be checked out at a time (for 7, 14, or 21 days) and can be returned early.
Compatible E-Reader Devices
- Compatible e-readers include the Barnes & Noble Nook and Sony Reader.
- OverDrive has released a mobile app for iPhones, iPad and Android devices that supports EPUB titles.
