What do you like about living in Mid-Missouri?

Mid-Missouri has been my home since I was in middle school. I really enjoy the outdoor opportunities, our rivers and streams and the local history. This is great place to raise a family and to call home.

What three words do you think best describe the library?

Accessible to all.

When friends or family find out that you are on the library board, what do they say or ask?

They tell me that it seems like a perfect fit! I happen to agree.

What do you wish other people knew about the library?

The third floor quiet reading room in Columbia has one of the best views in town!

How is the library different today than it was ten years ago?

There are a lot more digital titles available!

In the spirit of our mission to promote lifelong learning, what would you personally like to learn more about?

I would love to learn computer programming.

If you could have dinner with a famous author or book character who would it be?

Herodotus or Marcus Aurelius. I’ve been thinking about the answer to this question the longest and I still can’t decide.

Each library board member serves on his or her own district board as well as on the regional library board, which is the governing body responsible for policy-making and fiscal oversight.
