Columbia Public Library Adds 15 Internet Computers

The Columbia Public Library has just added 15 new computers with Internet
access. This brings the total number of public computers at the Columbia
library to 50. You can use library computers to access the Internet or use
basic software like Microsoft Office for up to one hour per day. Wireless
access is also available for free at all three of our libraries.

Garden gnomes want to go on spring break, too! If you didn't make it to our gnome-making program, you can still make a gnome to tote along with you. Print one of our gnome patterns and decorate it, then take your gnome with you to the park, grandma’s house, St. Louis, or wherever you are going for spring break. Read more »

Yancey Taylor Retires After 40 Years

After 40 years and 116 days of finding answers and recommending books, library veteran Yancey Taylor retired from the Daniel Boone Regional Library at the end of January. His expertise in fiction and reference were of great benefit to the library and our community, and his unique place among the library’s staff will be very hard to replace. Read more »

Columbia Friends Volunteer Group Makes Record Donation

If you think you’ve read this headline before, you’re correct. We’ve had the privilege of boasting about record-breaking donations from the Friends for five years in a row now! This year, Friends president Debbora Jones will present to the library a check for a whopping $82,000. Read more »
