local agencies that provide tax assistance.

New Service: Suspend Your Holds

So many books.

Now there's a new feature you can use to help you manage your holds through your online library account. Use the "Suspended Holds" service if you will be unable to pick up library materials but want to maintain your position in the holds list. Read more »

Event Highlight: Superhero Summit MMIX

Young superheros met for a summit at the Columbia Public Library on January 20 to exchange wardrobe tips and network against evil. Please do not press library staff to reveal any secret identities. Read more »

DBRL Celebrates 50 Years of Library Service

The demonstration bookmobile, funded by the Missouri State Library, stopped at McBaine and other rural towns in the summer of 1957.

The Daniel Boone Regional Library was founded 50 years ago, in 1959, after a grant-funded regional bookmobile experiment created a lot of enthusiasm for library services in our community. Read about some highlights of our past 50 years and view some photos from our archives. Read more »
