This month's sale features gift books, holiday books and cookbooks. First Wednesday sales offer some of the very best books that have been donated to the Friends. The Friends also conduct sales every Wednesday in the library lobby noon-3 p.m, and every Saturday 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. All proceeds go to support library services.
On board, you'll find books, music, DVDs and other services for all ages. You can browse several thousand titles or pick up items you've requested online or over the phone.
Help us select our own winner of the 2015 John Newbery Medal. At these fun sessions, you'll discuss Newbery finalists and defend the book you feel is the “Heavy Medalist” of the year. Library staff will facilitate along with Nancy Baumann, a local educator and previous Newbery committee member. The last session will last 90 minutes. (Attendance at previous sessions is required.) Kids in grades 4-8.
