It’s not too late to be a reading hero! We are still taking registrations for Summer Reading for all ages. This year's theme is "Every Hero Has a Story."
Enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays, flannelboards and big books. Parental participation is a must. Kids up to age 2 1/2 (30 mos.) walking confidently on their own.

The city of Columbia's Lunch in the Park program provides enrichment, recreation and a daily lunch to students and community residents each summer. The bookmobile will visit every Monday, from June 15 through August 3. Did you know the first written tales were about heroes? Learn about ancient heroes such as Gilgamesh and Khufu, Horus and Hercules, and then explore the ways the first hero tales and myths were written. We will make tablets in clay, bookmarks in papyrus and books on scrolls. Ages 8-11. Registration begins Tuesday, June 23.
Did you just buy a new Windows 8 computer and have no idea where to start? Come to our informal session to learn about the Windows 8 operating system and get pointers. You may bring in your laptop or device, or we can demonstrate with the library's equipment.
