Mars has the same day-length and axial tilt as Earth, an atmosphere with clouds, ice caps at both poles and what look like continents in a planetary ocean. Until the last century, scientists even thought that formations on Mars might be canals built by intelligent life forms that could have traveled to Earth. Val Germann, of the Central Missouri Astronomical Association will tell us why Mars remains the planet in our solar system most likely to be fostering some form of life. He'll also discuss what the Mars rovers have revealed about the dangers to our own atmosphere here on Earth. Teens and adults.
