Did you know the Columbia library has a "secret" garden? Several families had fun hanging out in this outdoor hideaway during a lunch time program July 3.
Open to the public for special programs, the Gene Martin Secret Garden is tucked away on the southwest end of the Columbia Public Library near the children's area. At the July 3 Picnic in the Garden, staff member Liz Pfeiffer read some stories aloud while families ate their lunches and had fun chalking the sidewalks. Another Picnic in the Garden is scheduled for August 7 .
