The DBRL staff and board are pleased to announce that, starting in January 2010, we’ll be able to add hours to our busy library branch in Ashland. The Southern Boone County Public Library [1] will now stay open until 6 p.m. on Friday, instead of closing at 3 p.m.
The library at 117 East Broadway in Ashland first opened August 1, 2000 for 20 hours a week. This current hours expansion means Ashland patrons have 54 hours a week to use the library in its 10th anniversary year.
This is one of the service improvements we’ll be undertaking next year as a result of our recent strategic planning [2] process. Watch our web site and “Your Library [3]” mailing for announcements about the new youth bookmobile [4] and new online catalog [5] coming soon!
