Fresh from some great discussions of "The Tiger's Wife," [2] we're gearing up to choose next year's One Read [3] book. Get ready to share your book suggestions in November.
One thing that fascinates me about One Read [5], our annual community-wide reading program, is the number of people who come together to discuss the chosen title, whether they liked the book or not. That kind of mix always makes for a lively discussion and it demonstrates how One Read events create community by bringing friends and strangers together around reading.
If you’ve read a book recently or heard of one that intrigues you, please suggest a title. We’re looking for books people will enjoy reading and discussing, that have a broad-based appeal to readers of different backgrounds, and that address themes, issues and topics that people want to talk about. During the month of November, submit your nomination online [3], at Barnes and Noble [6], any library building [7] or on the bookmobile [8].
