The bookmobile maintains a regular schedule of stops in the following communities: Auxvasse, Hallsville, Harrisburg, Holts Summit, Mokane, Sturgeon, Williamsburg and Columbia.
The smaller bookmobile stops at community centers around Columbia . At the visits, kids and parents can check out books and other library materials. The Outreach Department staff also provides many activities, visits from storytellers and other events. The goals of this service are to introduce youth in low-income neighborhoods to the public library and to encourage reading. We also hope that these visits will encourage children to visit the Columbia library .
