Wireless Internet (Wi-Fi)
All three libraries have building-wide wireless Internet access. You can bring your laptop, tablet or other device to the library and use the Internet for free.
Copying, Scanning & Faxing
Photocopiers are available at all three libraries. Standard black copies cost 10¢ and color copies cost 50¢; both require change or dollar bills. You can also use the copiers to scan documents and save them to a USB drive or send them to an email address, for 10¢ a page. Faxing is available at all libraries for $1 per page. In Columbia, copiers by the Information and Reference Desks can be used to send faxes. In Fulton and Ashland, ask a staff member for assistance with faxing.
Printing
Basic black printing is available at all three libraries for 5¢ per page. Color printing costs 50¢ per page; ask staff for assistance. Wireless printing is also available.
Meeting Rooms
Nonprofit groups can reserve meeting rooms [1] for free at the Callaway, Columbia and Southern Boone County libraries.
Study Rooms
The Columbia library [2] has six small rooms available for quiet individual or group study. To use a room, just ask at the nearest service desk.
Test Proctoring
Test proctoring [3] is available at each library as staff and time permit. We need at least one week's notice to proctor. The first 2 hours of your first test are free and we charge a nominal fee of $10 for each additional hour to help cover the cost of the service. This service is not for students of local colleges who should seek proctoring at their institutions. Read the full policy [4].
Tutoring
During the school year, MU students provide free drop-in tutoring for children [5] at the Columbia Public Library.
Library Tours & Speakers
If you or your group would like a tour of one of the libraries [6], we would be happy to show you around. We can also make arrangements to have a librarian come talk to your group about libraries and library services.
