Make Your Own Comic Strip

Posted on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 by Brandy

Learn the foundational storytelling skills of all great graphic novelists at the Columbia Public Library. On Wednesday, October 11, create your own comic strip using digital tools or a paper template. This program will be in the Studio from 6-7:30 p.m. Come prepared with a story to share. We will also host a drawing of popular graphic novels like “Ghosts” by Raina Telgemeier, “Dog Man” by Dav Pilkey and “Mighty Jack” by Ben Hatke. Ages 10-14. To register, please call (573) 443-3161.

If you are a lover of graphic novels, you should check out the helpful booklists created by the Association for Library Service to Children. They often list the first title in a series, so if you discover a book you love, chances are that there are more where that came from!
