Six-Word Memoir ContestThe October 14 deadline is fast-approaching for the library’s Six-Word Memoir Contest! In celebration of Teen Read Week, we invite you to tell us about yourself in just six words. No writing experience is necessary; after all, you’re the master of this subject.

Winners will receive a Barnes & Noble gift card. Contest results will be posted on our website in November. You may contact a librarian with any contest questions at teen@dbrl.org or (573) 443-3161. Submit your memoir today!

Later this month, DBRL will be hosting two different programs to celebrate National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and three workshops exclusively for young writers. These events provide great opportunities for teens to get their words into the world, connect with other local authors and hone their craft. Learn more.
