Winners Announced in Six-Word Memoir Contest

Posted on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 by Brandy

In celebration of Teen Read Week, the library invited area youth to tell us about themselves in just six words. No more. No less.  Depending on how you approached this contest, it could be very straightforward, or present quite a challenge. After much consideration by our staff judges, we are happy to announce our contest winners. You’ll find a gallery of all our contest entries below.

First Place: Aubrielle Maginness
Second Place: Charlene Hatton
Third Place: Courtney Bach

Next month, preparation begins for the March Madness Teen Book Tournament. On December 12, we will announce the 16 most popular teen books at DBRL. This gives readers over two months to review these titles for voting in the spring.

Starting in March, you can vote each week to pick the Elite Eight, Final Four, the Top Two and the Mid-Missouri teen book champion! Each time you vote, your name will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win cool prizes like free book sets or gift cards.
