Join us for this annual favorite One Read event as David Lile of KFRU moderates a discussion of "Nomadland" with local experts. Rebecca Nowlin, CEO of the Central Missouri Area Agency on Aging, will address current economic realities of retirees. Steve Hollis, human services manager for Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services, will talk about economic inequality and homelessness in our community. Dr. Aaron Hedlund, assistant professor of economics at the University of Missouri, will discuss some of the economic factors leading to America's increasing numbers of nomadic, "houseless" workers. And Mr. Richard Glamann, a "workamper" living and working from his vehicle for the past three years, will share the challenges of life on the road.
