The community has voted to read “Remarkably Bright Creatures” by Shelby Van Pelt for the 2026 One Read program. Join us in September for book discussions, film screenings, an author talk and other One Read events.
The other title considered this year was “Playground” by Richard Powers.
As in past years, the Friends of the Columbia Public Library will fund the purchase of multiple copies of the One Read title for people to check out so anyone wanting to read it will be able to before September. The library offers the book in large print, as an eBook and in downloadable and streaming audiobook formats as well.
