During these unstructured sessions, use library computers and staff assistance to apply for a job, write a résumé, set up an email account, get help navigating the Internet, study for a test with "Learning Express Library" or sharpen your computer skills with our excellent self-guided tutorials. Choose from Keyboarding, Mouse Tutorial, Basic Skills, Computer Basics, Files and Folders, Exploring the Web, Basic or Intermediate Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Presentations. For the tutorials, please bring headphones or purchase a set at the library.
Maximizing Your Apple Mobile Device

Master the basic functions of your portable Apple device while exploring the library's mobile features available directly on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Bring along your device if you have one. Basic Internet skills and an email account are required. Registration begins Tuesday, January 24.
Facebook Fundamentals

We'll help you set up a Facebook profile and use some of its features such as adding photos, making notes and sharing news with others while maintaining your personal security. A basic understanding of the Internet and an email account are required. If you already use Facebook, know your log-in information. Registration begins Tuesday, January 24.
You've Got Your E-reader, Now What?
Wednesday, February 8 › 3-4 p.m. or 4-5 p.m.

Learn how to use the library's OverDrive eBook service to read books on your e-reader or mobile device with this demonstration. Come to the 3 p.m. session if you read eBooks with a Nook, Sony Reader, Literati, iPad, smart phone or similar device. If you use any variety of Kindle, come to the 4 p.m. session, and please be sure to register your Kindle with Amazon before the class. Registration begins Wednesday, January 25.

Learn at your own pace with these self-guided tutorials on the Windows operating system for beginners and intermediate users. An instructor will be present to get you started and answer questions. Choose from lessons on Mouse Tutorial, Basic Skills, Computer Basics, Files and Folders, Exploring the Web, Outlook Express Basics and Basic or Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint.
