Ways to Give

There are many giving options for you to support lifelong learning in your community. Depending on your goals, we will make it possible for you to help your library in a way that works for you. Whatever option you choose, you can be confident your gift will connect everyone in our community to opportunities for discovery, learning and joy. All gifts to the Foundation are tax-deductible.

Memorial and Honorarium Gifts

When you or your family wishes to memorialize or honor a loved one and chooses the DBRL Foundation as a recipient of these gifts, the whole community benefits. If you’re interested in making a memorial or honorarium gift to the library, contact the Foundation and we will work with you on how to best honor your loved one or group.

Appreciated Assets (Stocks, Bonds, Property)

Your unique situation might be best suited for a non-cash gift. The DBRL Foundation accepts most appreciated assets including stocks, bonds, mutual fund shares, real estate and other personal property. Employer Matching Gift Programs

You can maximize the impact of your donation by utilizing your employer’s matching gift program. Thousands of employers across America match current and past employee contributions to nonprofits like the Daniel Boone Regional Library Foundation. This can double the impact of every single dollar donated! The process for a match is as simple as filling out a few forms. Ask your employer if they participate.

IRA Charitable Rollover

If you are at least 70½ years old, you can apply your required minimum distribution (RMD) from your IRA directly to a qualified charity like the Daniel Boone Regional Library Foundation without paying that calendar year’s income taxes on the distribution. Estate Design Gifts

A wide range of planned gifts options are available allowing you to be flexible with your giving while meeting your charitable giving goals. Consult your financial advisor for financial planning options such as:

Bequest, Through Will or Trust

You may choose to use your resources to impact the literacy of future generations. Such a legacy can be accomplished simply by including the DBRL Foundation in your will or living trust to receive a specific amount or percentage of your assets. Or, name us a contingent beneficiary on your life insurance, retirement accounts, CDs or savings accounts.
