Quilts of Valor Display

As part of our observation of the 250th anniversary of the United States of America, the Columbia Public Library is hosting a display of 16 Quilts of Valor that will hang from the second floor railing above the Help Desk.

Come view the quilts July 1-August 30.

The Mid-Missouri Chapter of Quilts of Valor is providing this assortment of patriotic quilts. The organization began in 2003 as a grassroots effort to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor. Since then it has grown into a foundation with 736 chapters nationwide with over 11,000 volunteers. In 2025, the Mid-Missouri Chapter awarded 162 handmade quilts to area veterans and service members.
