One Read Author’s Talk With Shelby Van Pelt at Missouri Theatre

Posted on Friday, September 25, 2026

On September 23, the library hosted a conversation between author Shelby Van Pelt and former radio host David Lile about her best-selling novel “Remarkably Bright Creatures.” The “One Read Author’s Talk” at the historic Missouri Theatre in Columbia was the cornerstone event of our 25th One Read community-wide reading program.

This recording is no longer available for viewing. It was available from September 25, 2026 through noon on October 2, 2026.

One Read is generously underwritten by the Friends of the Columbia Public Library and made possible by organizations in our community. We thank all of our partners on the task force for their support.
