We are finally halfway through #The100DayProject! I’m still going strong! I haven’t really stuck with one project or one medium, but that’s part of the fun, right?
So far, I have used oil pastels, which I haven’t used since middle school.
I made a fairy teacup garden at a library program over spring break.
I colored a picture from my unofficial “Yellowjackets” coloring book! I’m usually drawn to whimsical illustrations, so this was a fun way to challenge myself.
And of course, because I love using food as a medium, I made an egg in a frame!
Remember, perfect is the enemy of the good! Don’t worry about making something look great or even pretty. Bad art can be really cathartic. Make something just for the sake of creating.
If you need more ideas, try “How to Draw Anything Anytime” by Kamo or “Start Here: Draw” by Moira Clinch. And Creative Bug has projects just for #The100DayProject using every kind of medium from sewing to painting and more.
