The library now has a way to communicate with people in more than 240 languages with our new Language Link Translation service. This immediate over-the-phone interpretation service will enable our staff to be even more helpful to non-English speakers visiting our libraries or bookmobile. Translators are available for languages including Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Cantonese, Farsi, French, Haitian Creole, Khmer (Cambodian), Korean, Mandarin, Russian, Somali, Spanish and Vietnamese.
Library staff can get on the phone with a Language Link translator at any of our libraries, just ask at a service desk or on the bookmobile.
We welcome people from all over the world to Mid-Missouri, as students at our colleges and universities and as immigrants or refugees living in our communities. Language Link Translation services will help more people take advantage of more library services and other resources in our area.
